Self love and acceptance are critical in the pursuit of “authentic” happiness. Not one single detail of who you are is a mistake-it’s just that your journey is one that only you have the power to endure.
The world we live in is made up of people. Sure there are many other things that surround us, but I’m certain all would agree that none are more powerful than man/woman. We have the power to create a better world-better experiences. I often hear people say that this requires communication and cooperation which can prove quite difficult with an infinite amount of people, but I don’t think it’s that complicated. I find it crazy that you have to communicate or cooperate with people on the right to live your life the way you want, especially if you aren’t causing harm to others.
The world would be a better place if people would do what they know is right. Some will argue that people only do what they’re taught and that it depends on who’s raising you and your culture and so on. But, we all have a conscious-this is a universal fact. Whether we respond to it is another story. The evil in the world evolves from judgement and senses of entitlement. We all come into this world with a soul, which is our connection to the universe and everything in it. You don’t get to pass judgement on other people just because how they think, or live their lives isn’t in alignment with your morals/beliefs. That’s why they’re called “your” beliefs. The most sensible thing to do is to find a group of people who share those morals/beliefs and have them be a part of your world and leave everyone who doesn’t out. Especially, if it can take you to a place of anger-a place from which only negativity can evolve.
We are all unique and we have the right to create a life that works for us. This is what makes the world beautiful-what gives it all of its colors. Culture-religion-lifestyle should not be used as forums for judgement and/or exclusion. This is not to say that you have to “like” every choice that every person makes. It is simply to say that regardless of who we are in our “authentic” selves, we deserve respect. We don’t deserve to be killed, cursed, demeaned, tormented or judged. We deserve to just “BE”.
We are all here-living-present- in this moment for a divine reason. Life is about diversity-about us all being able to fit comfortably in our own skin-to travel through our journeys-to make mistakes-share the stories. It’s about honesty, compassion and acceptance.
